A.J. Gerd Hydraulics was established in 1995, A du Toit trading as a sole proprietor till 2019 when the   economy changed and we registered as A.J.Gerd Hydraulics PTY ( Ltd ) .   Our Director Albert du Toit Worked as a fitter at F.D. Hydraulics for 5 years picking up very valuable experience, where he then went to Ray Mordt Hydraulics to open a very successful Hydraulic Pump repair room for almost 7 years. He then joint the Dosco group and worked himself up to become works manager. Due to the economic changes and pressure from the market he was given an opportunity to start A.J.Gerd Hydraulics by the then Owner Ken Barnard.   We saw a gap in the market place for still repairing hydraulic pumps and motors where the opposition was more in a replacing new mind set. Only in the worst case scenario and we cannot source the spares to repair your unit we will replace.  

Albert (Director) with 26 years’ experience in the Hydraulic field and the knowledge to still repair hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders. I Class myself as old school and I hereby promise to give excellent service and prices at all times. I also commit to all my customers, loyalty, commitment and advice when needed

Marco (CEO) Marco joined A.J.Gerd Hydraulics as Product Support in 2015 approaching the market selling hydraulic seal kits to the market, after accumulating excellent experience from his previous employer S.A. Sealing services. We felt that his knowledge with seals and cylinder hardware he would only be an asset to the company. He has since been promoted to CEO where we are putting his knowledge to better use giving our customer the best end product

Vickey  (Internal Sales) we wanted to create a Retail shop that would supply the market with hydraulic related product e.g. hydraulic oils, filters and all accessories to suit your personal needs. We also wanted to grow our Hoses and Fittings in to a sustainable self-sufficient business and who better to do that than Vickey with all the experience in working with people, problem solving and ambition she will be an asset to the team

 Zelda (Works Manager ) The need arose for a driver and we employed Zelda in 2011. She is responsible for safe collection and delivery of our precious customer cargo. She also collect raw material and is responsible for all the paperwork relating to all purchasing, invoicing, delivery notes and invoices. She relates all necessary information to our Bookkeeper on a monthly basis.She has now proudly added to her duties to be the works manager over seeing all the work in workshop , ensuring the best quality

Pieter (Turner ) in any professional engineering shop you need experience and that is exactly what Pieter brings. His mature nature and calm approach ensure that all machine work is done perfect. His knowledge of different material, machine speeds and feeds ensure that every product leaving his lathe is to OEM specification. We could not have asked for a better loyal turner.
